DID YOU KNOW...

That the Moon is a dead planet?

The surface of the moon is dark, the light that we see is actually the reflection of sun light. This reflected light illuminates the Earth's night sky.

Just as the Moon's light is a reflection from the sun, so is the image captured by the camera. It is the reflection of light off mirrors that creates the image that I take. Knowing light, reading it, and measuring it is very important in my field of work. Hence the name and the brand Moon Reflections Photography!

Peace!

Sacred is a Metro Detroit-based photographer who’s been capturing people and events for nearly a decade. She’s passionate about her craft and loves to take photos that inspire people young and old. Sacred makes it her mission to find locations with the best lighting, whether it’s the Detroit Institute of Arts, picturesque parks or even parking garages. Yet her all-time favorite photo she captured was of mountain side on the coast of the Italian Riviera.

Sacred graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in communications. She is also a United States Air Force Veteran, having served her country for four years. After the Air Force, she decided to pursue her passion and founded Moon Reflections Photography — a full-service photography company that creates an unforgettable, one-of-kind experience for clients.

Moon Reflections Photography specializes in branding, headshots, high school senior portraits, as well as commercial and freelance photography. Sacred’s work has been featured in online and print publications, including SEEN Magazine, The Michigan Chronicle, The Huffington Post, Ebony.com and Rolling Out Magazine, among others.

In addition to photo sessions and editorial work, Sacred offers workshops on digital photography and camera basics, where students learn everything from understanding shutter speed to ISO. She also organizes a local summer photography camp for kids and teens and enjoys speaking nationally at events like The Cookout Photo Conference.

Besides being a respected freelance photographer, motivational speaker and educator, she enjoys being a loving wife and mother of two children. She’s a free, spiritual person who’s holistic and in love with love. When she’s not shooting photos, she’s at home with her family, striving to create some amazing little humans who follow their passion.
