Let's Celebrate Our Mothers │ Mother's Day Mini Sessions

I cannot believe how far behind I have gotten with my blog. I want to say thank you to those of you that are still following and supporting not only my blog, also Moon Reflections Photography and Young Creators.

2016 was a really good year filled with tons of growth and excitement. One of the most fulfilling events that took place last year was our Mother's Day Mini Sessions. We are looking forward to hosting another portrait weekend, April 29th, 2017, in celebration of all the wives, mothers, sisters, all the mothers out there...Take a look as we recap last years mini sessions.

Clients came from as far as Atlanta to give something memorable and surprising to their Mothers.  Even though they were mini sessions, the time is limited to 30 minutes instead of a full 60 to 90 minutes, the experience was not lacking. Our clients were still provided a custom experience with professional makeup application by our favorite MUA to the stars, Shalonda Wooten Hargress , we consulted on style and clothing, location, and more. We wanted our clients to be comfortable while being pampered and knowing that March in Detroit is a gamble between freezing cold and below zero, we rented a beautiful Airbnb where clients were able to get dressed and have their makeup applied.

Our shoot location was in the heart of Detroit's, Eastern Market.

Take a look as we celebrate our mothers and see what they had to say about their experience!

These pictures are PHENOMENAL. I had tears in my eyes looking through them. They are more than I could have expected and I can not wait to work with her again. It was dark and gloomy in Eastern Market, but she captured our joy and sunshine. Love, love, love to you!!!!!! What are y’all waiting for? Go book her.

The suggestion of a makeup artist was not something that I took with seriousness because my mom and I were our own personal makeup artists (in our heads) but when I tell you that changing my mind to hire the makeup artists MADE OUR PICS!

It is with a sad heart that I write one of our clients has passed since this event took place. Keli Jones surprised her mom and brother with a mini photo shoot. No one could have known how important the memories created that day would really become.  I am torn between sadness and happiness that I could create such memories for this family. Rest In Peace Kris.
