On Thursday, March 31, 2016 I had the opportunity to photograph, network, and mingle with some amazing people at a very posh event. A Night Out with Pink Pump at West Elm, featuring The Walls of Virtue by Barbara Johnson, The Detroit Garment Group with Lindsey Alexander. Wine and Vegan hors d’oeuvres by Platinum Chef Catering Rhoda St. Luce and beats to go along with those eats by The Cool DJ Andre Terrell.
Wine, shoes, food, shopping and music…how could you go wrong?
If you missed this event don’t worry, I captured it all and I’m sure that all parties involved are just getting started. As it’s only the beginning of spring! Michael, the owner of West Elm (located at 215 Maple Rd. in downtown Birmingham, MI) was really enthusiastic about this event and was excitedly looking forward to more Thursday night events just as soon as things warm up.
Here’s the lineup, the Who’s Who of the event.
The Pink Pump boutique owned by Kelly and Vincent Kirkwood, was reopened recently. This shoe and clothing boutique is located at 2527 W. Maple Rd. Bloomfield Hills, mi 48301 is a must visit shopping experience.
West Elm…HGTV could set up shop in this beautifully designed and decorated store. One of a kind pieces, local makers, no mass produced products. Modern style and décor for the stylish contemporary home!
Walls of Virtue by Barbara Johnson a designer, creator and artist, her work speaks for itself. She brings life to the walls of West Elm with warm hues of blues and whites and soft palettes of pastels peach, pink, and tan. A great addition to any décor!
Detroit Garment Group with Lindsey Alexander. Created in 2012 to address the need for business education for Michigan’s fashion community. DGG offers several programs that focus on business education and fashion. One that I found most interesting was the Industrial Sewing Certificate Program, the focus of this program is to help those that are unemployed learn a skilled trade (funding is available to those who qualify through Michigan Works) How awesome is that!?
The Platinum Chef, Rhoda St. Luce…OMG vegan food with soul and tons of flavor! You really had to be there to taste meatless, healthy, yet totally yummy hors d’oeuvres! Not to mention that the food was beautifully styled and plated to match this classy event…it’s all in the details!
The Cool DJ, Andre Terrell was very cool! The music really topped off the event and gave it a vibe that was undeniable.
Bankable Marketing Solutions, Eliot Banks. An event of this stature would be nothing without great hospitality services, Eliot Banks provided just that! Keeping the spirits high with his winning personality and glasses of wine! lol
This event couldn’t have been what it was without the dedicated efforts of the PR Guru, Melanie Williams! Melanie is the CEO and Founder of Guru Public Relations, Event and Concierge Services. I take my hat off to this woman. She is driven and focused, she is in control of every aspect and every detail that brings together an event like this one.
That’s it for me and my event wrap up: West Elm presents: A Night Out With Pink Pump!
Until next time!
